My girlfriend’s apartment is about a ten minute walk from the waterfront, so we walked through the neighborhood, down to the water. It was nice and sunny, but quite cold and windy as it has been lately. A bunch of people were out, walking their dogs or heading to restaurants.
The snow has mostly melted, but I could see a few human shoe tracks. What’s left of the snow has frozen over, making it resistant to track formation. Unfortunately, I couldn’t see any animal tracks. I could hear some birds, and we saw some medium-sized black birds that could’ve been crows. There were some cool ice formations on the rocks as well.
On the walk down, we saw some scat, which looked like it was from dogs, based on the placement right near the sidewalk. We also saw some changing in the decorative plants around residences, such as lilacs, hydrangeas, and dogwoods. The dogwoods had dropped their berries. The lilacs had started budding.
