2/5/21 Visit: Changes and Tracks

I revisited my spot in East Woods, and the most obvious change was the snow. There was an increase in fallen branches and small trees, which I’m guessing is due to the winds and snow since my last visit in November. Changes were more dramatic when looking at my first post. The large dying pine tree that is the focal point of the spot has deteriorated substantially since the beginning of last semester. A picture from my first post alerted me to this.

I also spotted a handful of tracks, most of which likely belonging to dogs on the trail. I also saw a few dogs go off-trail, which makes me believe the off-trail tracks I found were also from dogs. Some could potentially be from foxes, but it’s hard to tell. I held the ruler up for scale. Other signs of wildlife included borrow holes in dead trees in the area, and bird calls in the distance.

I take roughly the same panoramic photo every visit, and add them to the randomized header, as well as the panoramic photo folder. Here’s the panoramas from the first visit and the most recent.
