Each of the three &#8220;local&#8221; faculty will spend a half day introducing the students to their topics. Additional activities will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a canoe trip up the Macal River to the Belize Botanic Gardens;<\/li>\n<li>guided tours of the Blue Morpho Butterfly Farm and Natural History Museum;<\/li>\n<li>a presentation on Chaa Creek&#8217;s efforts to promote sustainable tourism in Belize; and<\/li>\n<li>daily guided bird walks (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re going to spend our first five days at the Macal River Camp at Chaa Creek, 20 minutes outside San Ignacio.
