While the Vernal Equinox is long gone, and Spring is no longer in its early stages, it is still worthwhile to comment on the budding of plants and signs of amphibian and bird activity.
While I could not decipher any specific bird songs and could not identify any specific bird species (with the exception of a distant Woodpecker), there were many bird species present.
As far as budding plants go, many understory trees have begun to bud while the overstory trees such as the very large White Oak have yet to bud.

As previously mentioned there are Muskrat tracks along the riverbank, indicating that the small mammals have left their winter dens. No signs of amphibian hatching is present. I hypothesis there isn’t much egg laying happening in the stream itself as the stream is teeming with fish who would likely eat the eggs. There is a small pool by the stream which had 2 potentially mating green frogs. That area, or a nearby vernal pool if one exists, is likely the egg laying sites of amphibians.
