She is currently engaged in an ethnographic study examining border politics and food access issues among Latinx dairy workers in Vermont. Her book, <em>Life on the Other Border: Farmworkers and Food Justice in Vermont<\/em>\u00a0was just published by the University of California Press. Her work has appeared in several journals, including\u00a0<em>Food and Foodways, Latino Studies, Agriculture and Human Values, Working USA, The Journal of Pedagogic Development<\/em>, and the <em>Journal of Agricultural, Food Systems and Community Development<\/em>,\u00a0in addition to numerous edited volumes. She designed, implemented and currently oversees the lay health promoter program that was established in 2012 in northern Vermont and is now statewide.
