About

Hispanic Voices is a collaboration with the Vermont Public Radio that aims to highlight Hispanic people in Vermont. VPR is helping to spread the experiences of Hispanic people, especially immigrants to highlight the strengths of diversity in Vermont. Immigrants help bring a different perspective in almost all facets of life.

Not only do immigrants bring different understandings, but they also bring different experiences from different places. Growing up in Vermont or the US at large is a much different experience than being from Mexico, South America, the Caribbean, Central America, or Spain. Hispanic Voices aims to display said experiences in a light that aids Vermonters. The Hispanic people that immigrated to Vermont have specific reasons and specific perspectives and lifting them up can only help our communities.
