This beautiful spot is a part of UVM’s Centennial Woods Natural Area. When you enter the woods from the Catamount Drive Area, the spot is on a little alcove beyond the trail you are put on. You will get to a trail opening full of Birches and Eastern White Pine that has two trails budding out from it. Take the one straight ahead of you and follow it until you get to an area full of Eastern White Pines and Ferns. That’s where this blog is focused.
