Topics might include but are not restricted to<br \/>\n* Building and using tools for TEI-based text encoding<br \/>\n* Teaching TEI: Challenges and Opportunities<br \/>\n* TEI as a theory of text<br \/>\n* TEI: the next 20 years<br \/>\n* New career opportunities for those using the TEI<br \/>\n* Lacunae and omissions: new directions for the TEI<br \/>\nPaper presenters will be allocated 30 minutes to speak, 25 minutes for<br \/>\ndelivery, and five minutes for questions.<br \/>\nAlternatively, group sessions can be organized for 1.5 hours each and<br \/>\nmay be of varied formats, including:<br \/>\n* A working papers session (pre-circulated papers)<br \/>\n* A round-table discussion<br \/>\n* Software demonstrations<br \/>\nOf the formats described above, a working paper session might be more<br \/>\nappropriate for a smaller group, all of whom have all read the<br \/>\npre-circulated papers in advance. This type of format may span more than<br \/>\none session and will be held concurrently with the general session.<br \/>\nSubmission Procedure<br \/>\n\/Individual paper proposals\/: submit a title, brief abstract (no more<br \/>\nthan 500 words), the name of the presenter, institutional affiliation,<br \/>\nand email address.<br \/>\n\/Panel sessions\/: submit a session title, brief overview of the session<br \/>\n(no more than 300 words), abstracts of each of the papers (no more than<br \/>\n500 words each) OR a 500 word abstract for a panel discussion, the names<br \/>\nof each of the participants, their institutional affiliations, and email<br \/>\naddresses.<br \/>\n\/Poster Session\/Tool Demonstration\/: submit a title, brief abstract (no<br \/>\nmore than 500 words), the name of the presenter, institutional<br \/>\naffiliation, and email address. The local organizer will provide a flip<br \/>\nchart and a table for each presenter, along with wireless internet<br \/>\naccess. All poster session participants will have an opportunity to<br \/>\nparticipate in a poster slam immediacy preceding the poster<br \/>\nsession\/reception.<br \/>\nAll submissions should be sent to Conference Chair, Sebastian Rahtz<\/p>\n<p> by 6 April 2007.<br \/>\nConference papers will be considered for a *TEI@20* Proceedings.
