Vermont’s streams are an integral aspect of the state’s culture and identify. Home to over 90 species of freshwater fish and 21,000 invertebrates, streams offer habitat for a wide range of wildlife. Streams have been carving the Green Mountains for millions of years and continue to shape the state’s beautiful landscape.
