\nfruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, fish and eggs. Otherwise known as \u201cUSDA Foods.\u201d These healthy, American grown and processed
\nproducts help feed millions of school children and are also distributed to food banks, disaster areas, and wherever else they are needed.
\nAMS proudly buys \u201cUSDA Foods\u201d from a diverse pool of companies, both large and small. For this webinar, we will be placing special
\nemphasis on contracting information for small, socially disadvantaged, women-owned, and service disabled veteran-owned businesses,
\nas well as those in Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB Zones). Note: The small business size standard for federal
\ncontractors in \u201cUSDA Foods\u201d procurement is 500 employees or less (except for shell eggs, which is $12.5 million in annual revenue).
\nSara Hernandez and Dianna Price of the AMS Commodity Procurement Staff will: \u00b7 introduce you to USDA purchasing activities and \u201cUSDA Foods,\u201d \u00b7 discuss the types of products USDA buys,
\n\u00b7 explain the solicitation and award process
\n\u00b7 outline the requirements for selling to USDA, and
\n\u00b7 give you the tools and resources you\u2019ll need to explore doing business with the USDA.
