I know the timing is tough for apple and grape growers, but it may be good to have a seat at the table. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Public Input Meetings for Agriculture<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are upcoming opportunities on 9\/13 and 9\/14 to make your voice heard on issues impacting the future of Vermont agriculture:<\/p>\n<p>&middot; <strong>Future of Agriculture Public Meeting <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday 9\/13, 6-8 pm on Zoom \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/cbuilding.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/tJEkcu-hqjguHdEdlLUn3MKfShzAn24JKRiX\">Register Here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/agriculture.vermont.gov\/administration\/governors-commission-future-vermont-agriculture\"> Governor\u2019s Commission on the Future of Agriculture<\/a> is seeking ideas and recommendations from stakeholders about how State-level actions can help support food access, a robust local food system, business viability, the next generation of famers, the Vermont brand, and inclusion, diversity, and accessibility of Vermont agriculture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&middot; <strong>VT Climate Council Stakeholder Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuesday, 9\/14, 6-8 pm on Zoom \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/cbuilding.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/tJwodeGhqzMoHNMb8vcyz3C74uagIu6FmEzG\"> Register Here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>This meeting is for farmers to learn and provide feedback about the proposed climate mitigation pathways, strategies and actions for agriculture in the Vermont Climate Action Plan. The <a href=\"https:\/\/aoa.vermont.gov\/content\/agriculture-and-ecosystems-subcommittee-vermont-climate-council\"> Agriculture &amp; Ecosystem Subcommittee<\/a> of the Vermont Climate Council is seeking input on the following questions:\n<ul>\n<li>Is the subcommittee on the right track with their approaches?<\/li>\n<li>What key strategies or ideas are they missing?<\/li>\n<li>What two or three strategies or ideas are of concern or worry to you?<\/li>\n<li>How would you improve them to address you concerns?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/workinglands.vermont.gov\/grant-contract-opportunities\">Grants Opening Soon &#8211; Working Lands Enterprise Fund<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications for <a href=\"https:\/\/workinglands.vermont.gov\/businessgrants\">Standard Business Grants<\/a> will be accepted between September 21 and November 1.
