This announcement, effective April 27<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020, allows for in-person customer purchase of seeds, annuals, vegetable seedlings, perennials, herbs, shrubs, trees, and other landscaping and gardening materials from an outdoor retail operation in adherence to the guidelines outlined in <a href=\"https:\/\/governor.vermont.gov\/sites\/scott\/files\/documents\/ADDENDUM%2011%20TO%20EXECUTIVE%20ORDER%2001-20.pdf\">Addendum 11<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(4\/24\/20) Vermont Farmers Markets will be allowed to reopen under the new <a href=\"https:\/\/agriculture.vermont.gov\/sites\/agriculture\/files\/Farmers%20Market%20Guidance%2004.24.20.pdf\">Farmers Market Guidance <\/a>released by Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets (VAAFM)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(4\/22\/20) <strong>Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA)<\/strong>. The Vermont Department of Labor is now set-up to accept unemployment claims for &#8220;self employed&#8221; business owners under PUA. <a href=\"https:\/\/labor.vermont.gov\/CARESact_Vermont\/SelfEmployed\">PUA website for Self Employed <\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/vermont.force.com\/DOLClaim\/s\/\">online application page<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Micro Loan and Grant Programs:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ruralvermont.org\/news\/2020\/5\/13\/announcing-mini-grants-for-farmers-markets\">Rural VT Farmers Market Grant<\/a> ($500),  <a href=\"https:\/\/farmland.org\/farmer-relief-fund\/?eType=EmailBlastContent&amp;eId=b4dec3c2-c1b8-4aa2-b782-05fe7af2c3b7\"> American Farmland Trust Grants <\/a>($1k max); <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vtfarmfund.org\/emergency-loan\">VT Farm Fund<\/a> (up to $10k Emergency Loans), <a href=\"https:\/\/foodanimalconcernstrust.org\/minigrants\">FACT Mini-Grant<\/a> ($500 for livestock and poultry)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>US Small Business Administration Emergency Programs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#a30006\" class=\"has-text-color has-background has-light-gray-background-color\"><em><strong>5\/4\/20<\/strong> : As of today (5\/4) EIDL application webpage opened up today! New PPP applications are being processed. Prepare your PPP applications directly with your local bank\/lender. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sba.gov\/funding-programs\/loans\/paycheck-protection-program-ppp\">SBA Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) webpage<\/a>:  Updated  fact sheets and applications are posted below. We expect the SBA online application eligibility section to reflect that chance once the program re-opens.<\/em>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A borrower applying for EIDL can request an advance on the loan of up to $10,000 from the Small Business Administration (SBA). See the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sba.gov\/funding-programs\/loans\/coronavirus-relief-options\/economic-injury-disaster-loan-emergency-advance\">SBA EIDL Website<\/a>. Applications are made online with the SBA directly. EIDL &#8220;advance&#8221; amounts are based on $1,000 per employee, thus a business with 10 or more employees can apply for the $10k max. The actual EIDL Loan can be for up to $2M and has an interest rate of 3.75%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sba.gov\/disaster\/apply-for-disaster-loan\/index.html\">SBA Economic Injury Disaster Application <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Small Business Owners Guide US CARES Act<\/strong>: See document download below (includes Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loan\/Grants) <em>Note: As of 4\/24\/20, We have confirmation that  farm businesses are eligible for the PPP SBA programs. &#8220;Farms&#8221; (ie. 100% farm production) are also eligible for Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL). Food processors, value-added, maple syrup producers, nursery and aquaculture are eligble for EIDL. Both these programs feauture &#8220;forgivable&#8221; portions  for certain uses and do not require 100% repayment.
