Hello Rubenstein students,

I’ve had conversations with many of you recently about the impact of the federal hiring freeze on your search for summer and/or post-graduation jobs – specifically when it comes to seasonal positions.

This morning one of our alums, a biologist with the US Fish & Wildlife Service, sent me this “guidance” that USFWS employees received. It appears, as of yesterday, that seasonal positions are exempt from the freeze – Federal Civilian Hiring Freeze Guidance – see part E under Exemptions.

So, hopefully more seasonal positions will be in process again or posted soon. We’ll have to see how this rolls out but just wanted to pass along this update. Thanks and let me know if you have questions. -Anna
