While I love leaf peeping, I mainly chose this spot for its rock climbing. I have been climing for eight years and would consider it a passion of mine. Even though this spot is an hour away I means a lot to me and I make a trip up every weekend to climb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Directions<\/strong>: The Big Cottonwood Boulder is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/44%C2%B033'19.2%22N+72%C2%B047'45.2%22W\/@44.5553333,-72.7980776,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x6ec6d4a13c097ce2!8m2!3d44.5553333!4d-72.7958889\">located<\/a> just before Stowe Resort on Route 108 near Smugglers Notch. It is about a 55 minute drive away going North on I-89 for about 18 miles, take exit 18 then turn left onto VT-104 for about 13 miles. The majority of the landscape is made up of <strong>White Birch<\/strong>, <strong>Yellow Birch<\/strong> and <strong>really big rocks<\/strong>. There is also the occasional <strong>Sugar<\/strong> and <strong>Norway<\/strong> <strong>Maple<\/strong> scattered among the birch.
