My phenology spot is a lush green clearing in Centennial Woods. A lot of water collects in this area, fostering many mosses and ferns. There are some small huckleberry bushes and a few fallen eastern white pines, now blanketed in mosses and fungi. Getting there is simple. Follow the main trail down past the stream. Once you&#8217;ve crossed the stream you will come to an intersection of trails. Do not head right, instead, stay straight heading north, keeping the watershed close on your left. After a short bit of walking, you&#8217;ll come across a small wooden bridge that crosses over a small, boggy, stream bed. Veer right off the path, following this stream bed up into the woods. Eventually the bed will widen into a larger bog\/clearing. This is the spot. As of now, there are animal traps laid down for a study in the clearing, so only observe from a distance. The spot can also be accessed from the other side, coming from the west (this is the direction from which the below photo was taken), however I am not able to give specific enough directions on how to get there from that side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P.S.
