We’re looking for interns to help with our Field School, which runs Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Interns help facilitate different activities for the kids (ages 6-12). Interns are also supported in learning a variety of primitive skills (e.g. fire-by-friction, basket weaving, tracking, wild harvesting plants, natural history, etc.) as well as community building practices (e.g. storytelling, singing, nature-based games, mentoring). Because our program has a low ratio of adults to kids (4:1), interns will receive one-on-one instruction and opportunities for feedback.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Ideally, interns would be able to join us for at least one full day (9am-3pm) each week. No prior experience with natural history\/primitive skills necessary. Ideal interns are curious, playful, patient, and adventurous. Our program Sept 2-Dec 6, but start date is flexible. We also have other opportunities to get involved.
