Provide overall program coordination, administration and planning in cooperation with EPA, New York, Connecticut and New Jersey, IEC Board and NEIWPCC\u2019s Lowell, MA office. Extensive interaction may occur with representatives of state and federal governments, businesses, universities, and environmental and economic development organizations. Serve as technical adviser for the IEC District. MS degree in public administration or in a field related to natural resources.<\/p>\n<p>Send cover letter, resume, and short writing sample by May 5, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Environmental Analyst &#8211; Onondaga Lake Watershed<\/strong><br \/>\nNew York State Department of Environmental Conservation<br \/>\n<em>Syracuse, NY<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC) is seeking an Environmental Analyst (EA) to work with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, the Onondaga Lake Partnership, and the Onondaga Nation to develop a shared community vision for restoration of the physical, chemical, and biological integrity of the watershed and to identify concrete measures that can be taken to achieve those goals. Will act as a clearinghouse of information for the public regarding the Lake in related restoration efforts.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor\u2019s degree in environmental science, natural resources policy, communication or marketing. Knowledge of habitat restoration, watershed management, Onondaga Lake isses preferred. Ability to work effectively with scientists, managers, and general public. Familiarity with NYSDEC\u2019s Policy CP-42 Contact, Cooperation, and Consultation with Indian Nations.
