The class covers many\u00a0styles and formats of literature, arts (including music), and media work that engage in various ways with environmentally\/ecologically oriented thematics and\u00a0practices. The course syllabus\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/~aivakhiv\/ELAM-2015.pdf\">is here<\/a>. An early version of its themes <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/aivakhiv\/2015\/09\/18\/eco-humanities-glossolalia\/\">is here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Students engage in a series of activities which, aside from readings and discussions, include\u00a0a creative arts project (which can make use of any artistic medium, from literary to visual to performative to digital) and profiles of environmentally oriented artists, musicians, writers, film and media makers, and art works.<\/p>\n<p>We are currently discussing whether to share some of those materials here.
