Every two years, the Dudley H. Davis Center<\/a> deploys a campus-wide assessment.\u00a0 This comprehensive tool surveys community members to help us better understand their attitudes and experiences related to the University\u2019s student center\u2019s programs, services and facilities.\u00a0 Most recently administered in April, 2012, the Davis Center Biennial Survey is a critical element of our continual improvement processes. \u00a0You can learn more about the Davis Center via our Annual Report<\/a>. \u00a0On this blog, we’ll continue to share snippets of important data we gathered from this survey.<\/p>\n

One compelling data set from this survey reveals important information to event planners and programmers on campus.\u00a0 As the hub of the student experience, we wanted to learn more about the days and times our students preferred to attend events.\u00a0 The charts below reveal some important trends about student preferences.<\/p>\n

Students trend toward the middle of the week when asked which days they would prefer to attend events.<\/p><\/div>\n

On weekdays, students prefer evening programing more than they do on weekends. The 5 PM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM time blocks are a clear winner with students.<\/p><\/div>\n

On weekends, students prefer afternoon evening events. Over half of the respondents indicated that they preferred the 3 PM to 5 PM and 5 PM to 7 PM time blocks.<\/p><\/div>\n
