Over Thanksgiving break, we were given the assignment of finding a new phenology spot and comparing it to our Burlington spot. My new spot is my backyard which is located in Hamburg, New York (town in Buffalo). I would like to believe that the ecology and phenology of my backyard, which includes a pond and area of woods, is very similar to my spot in Burlington, but it is now covered in 81 inches of snow!! Due to this enormous amount of snow, I had great difficulty going home and we were trapped in the house for a few days with a driving ban. I am including several pictures of our Snowvember storm, as well as my favorite place, that being my pond, before getting hit with the storm a few weeks ago.
