Workshops will focus on long-term storage of crops for sale through the winter and into early spring, but will be relevant to many agricultural and food storage needs.<\/p>\n<p>Topics include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the growing importance of long-term crop storage<\/li>\n<li>principles of energy and heat transfer<\/li>\n<li>basic heating and refrigeration<\/li>\n<li>construction for utility and efficiency<\/li>\n<li>maintaining temperature, airflow and humidity<\/li>\n<li>biological processes of crops in storage<\/li>\n<li>storage characteristics of various crops, and<\/li>\n<li>sizing and design of storage systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Workshop schedule:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brattleboro \u2013 9\/17<\/li>\n<li>Rutland \u2013 9\/19<\/li>\n<li>White River Junction \u2013 10\/9<\/li>\n<li>St. Johnsbury \u2013 10\/10<\/li>\n<li>Shelburne \u2013 10\/16<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Workshop fee is $20 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/event\/7979513941\" target=\"_blank\">registration is online<\/a>.
