To make life a bit more manageable, we need some system(s) and process(es) to help take the stress out of the workload.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few ways to help you manage your projects, large and small, and ultimately allow you to become more efficient:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 80%;font-style: italic\">Note: All links below will open in a new tab (or window, depending on your browser settings).<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make a list of your priorities. Here are a few ways to do that:<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right;margin: 8px;border: 1px solid #ccc\" alt=\"pencil and paper\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/ctl\/files\/2013\/11\/pencil.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"133\" \/>\n<ul>\n<li>Do a &#8220;brain dump.&#8221; Take a few minutes and grab a stack of sticky notes and write each task that comes to mind<\/li>\n<li>Organize tasks by categories (e.g. home, work, class)<\/li>\n<li>Choose a project to focus on<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right;margin: 8px;border: 1px solid #ccc\" alt=\"To-do list\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/ctl\/files\/2013\/11\/todolists.png\" width=\"220\" height=\"146\" \/>Set some goals for yourself, organize your lists&#8230;\n<ul>\n<li>by priority (H-high, M-medium, L-low)<\/li>\n<li>by project or location (work, home, school)<\/li>\n<li>by deliverables (what is due first)<\/li>\n<li>by importance (what matters most)<\/li>\n<li>by time needed (how long will each task take to accomplish)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Write down the tasks associated under each priority.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Schedule your day!
