As usual, it was quite the whirlwind tour.  We delivered a total of 7 separate workshops, many of which were multi-day events.  This meant we had workshops every day for almost two weeks, sometimes with more than one a day, resulting in a full day of teaching and support.  Overall, there were apporoximately 90 participants registered &#8211; that&#8217;s an average of almost 13 people per workshop!  Read on for more.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nHere is a list of all 7 workshops in the series:<br \/>\nAug. 8th &#8211; 9th: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/ctl\/?Page=events\/single.php&amp;id=32\">WebCT 101<\/a><br \/>\nAug. 10th &#8211; 11th: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/ctl\/?Page=events\/single.php&amp;id=32\">WebCT 101<\/a><br \/>\nAug. 14th: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/ctl\/?Page=events\/single.php&amp;id=40\">Managing the WebCT Gradebook<\/a><br \/>\nAug. 16th: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/ctl\/?Page=events\/single.php&amp;id=33\">Blogging Your Course<\/a><br \/>\nAug. 17th: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/ctl\/?Page=events\/single.php&amp;id=39\">Creating Online Quizzes and Exams<\/a><br \/>\nAug. 17th: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/ctl\/?Page=events\/single.php&amp;id=36\">Introduction to Adobe Photoshop Elements<\/a><br \/>\nAug. 18th: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/ctl\/?Page=events\/single.php&amp;id=3\">Introduction to EndNote<\/a><br \/>\nEnrollments were once again high, and the instruction was often punctuated with energetic discussion and collaboration. Attendees included a nice mix of new faces and returning members of the community who had been through our workshops before.<br \/>\nWhile all this was going on, we also brought several <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/ctl\/director-search\/candidate_visits.html\">director candidates<\/a> to campus (more updates on that to come, so don&#8217;t touch that dial), and made a brief presentation to incoming faculty as part of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/nfo\/\">New Faculty Orientation<\/a>.  Yesterday we also sponsored a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/ctl\/?Page=services\/gta\/index.php&amp;SM=m_services.html\">Graduate TA training event<\/a> aimed at giving Graduate TA&#8217;s the skills they need in the lab and classroom to effectively guide students through their classes and laboratories.<br \/>\nKeep an eye on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/ctl\/events\/\">events area<\/a> of the CTL website for more.
