The quote on the right is from the 1919 autobiography by Henry Adams, a descendant of the two Presidents.<\/p>\n

Some of the common class discussion challenges instructors face are:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. asking the right questions – ones that spark ideas and elicit thoughtful replies<\/li>\n
  2. getting the less assertive or shy students to speak up<\/li>\n
  3. the sound of nothing but crickets chirping<\/em> after a question is proffered<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
