We&#8217;ll be posting more about these changes in the coming weeks, but here are a few highlights.<\/p>\n<h3>New Features<\/h3>\n<div class=\"indent\">\n<p><strong>Test Access Log<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"indent\">\n<p>The Test Access Log allows instructors to <a title=\"Example image of the Test Access Log.\" href=\"http:\/\/note.io\/1lPuoH2\" target=\"_blank\">see exactly<\/a> what students clicked on in an exam. This provides a much clearer view into what happens during an assessment. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Retention Center<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"indent\">\n<p>The Retention Center provides an easy way for instructors to discover, track, and communicate with students in their course who are at risk. Here&#8217;s an example of what <a title=\"Retention center screenshot\" href=\"http:\/\/note.io\/1qVtug3\" target=\"_blank\">the retention center looks like<\/a>. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Updates to Existing Tools<\/h3>\n<div class=\"indent\">\n<p><strong>Discussion Board<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"indent\">\n<p>The Discussion Board tool has been redesigned for an improved experience. Here are a few of the new features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instructors can require students to post to a discussion before seeing other students\u2019 posts.<\/li>\n<li>Posts made by forum managers and moderators will contain the user\u2019s course role and forum role.<\/li>\n<li>All of the posts in a thread will be visible at the same time on one page.<\/li>\n<li>When replying to a post, the content editor used to write a response appears on the same page, in the context of the discussion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here&#8217;s <a title=\"Watch a video about the new Bb Discussion Board\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ObKS6_DB_nI\" target=\"_blank\">a video about the new Discussion Board<\/a> interface.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Text Editor<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"indent\">\n<p>This upgrade brings a complete replacement of the text (content) editor&mdash;the tool used for writing announcements, items, folder descriptions, etc.&mdash;and has many improved features! The new editor presents a simpler interface with a more consistent results. Here&#8217;s a sneak peak of the <a title=\"Video of the new text editor in Bb\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zMB365sPIEA\" target=\"_blank\">new Content Editor<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Bug Fixes and More<\/h3>\n<div class=\"indent\">\n<p>Blackboard will also be receiving a number of bug fixes and small behind-the-scenes improvements.
