The skin I’m in<\/p>\n
is just a covering.<\/p>\n
It cannot tell my story.<\/p>\n

If you want to know who I am<\/p>\n
you have got to come inside<\/p>\n
and open your heart way wide.<\/p>\n
The skin I’m in looks good to me.<\/p>\n
It will let you know one small way to trace my identity.<\/p>\n
But then again,<\/p>\n
the skin I’m in will always be just a covering.<\/p>\n
it cannot tell my story.<\/p>\n
If you want to know who I am<\/p>\n
you have got to come inside.<\/p>\n
Be with me inside the me of me,<\/p>\n
all made up of stories present, past, future<\/p>\n
some true to life<\/p>\n
and others all fun and fantasy,<\/p>\n
all the way I imagine me.<\/p>\n
You can find all about me – coming close and letting go<\/p>\n
of who you might think I am<\/p>\n
before you come inside and let me be real<\/p>\n
and you become real to me.<\/p>\n
All real then.<\/p>\n
In that place where<\/p>\n
skin again is one small way to see me<\/p>\n
but not real enough to be all<\/p>\n
the me of me or the you of you.<\/p>\n
For we are all inside<\/p>\n
made up of real history, real dreams,<\/p>\n
and the stuff of all we hope for<\/p>\n
when we can be all real<\/p>\n
together on the inside.<\/p>\n
