When returning to Centennial Woods this weekend, I noticed some things that were vastly different than my last visit. All remaining snow that had stayed last time had melted, along with most of the trees’ buds fully emerging and some of them breaking. One in particular that I sketched which was a red maple, had sections of buds that were fully broken. I saw a couple of animals during my visit, such as a red squirrel climbing up a tree and hearing a woodpecker soon after.
