{"id":75,"date":"2013-10-31T14:12:02","date_gmt":"2013-10-31T19:12:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/compute\/?p=75"},"modified":"2015-09-30T09:24:43","modified_gmt":"2015-09-30T14:24:43","slug":"cant-print-a-full-cats-report-from-myuvm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/compute\/2013\/10\/31\/cant-print-a-full-cats-report-from-myuvm\/","title":{"rendered":"Can&#8217;t print a full CATS Report from MyUVM?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve heard some reports of people having trouble printing CATS reports from MyUVM. \u00a0In a nutshell, the problem is that the\u00a0 report is around 13 pages long but when printed from MyUVM they only get the first page.<\/p>\n<p>This is because MyUVM uses a website structure called a frameset, which basically means that the single web browser window is broken up into two or more separate windows.\u00a0 If a part of the screen contains anything longer than one screenful, thenit has to be printed in a special way.<\/p>\n<p>So, how do you tell if you are inside the MyUVM frameset?\u00a0 Is the MyUVM logo in the upper left hand corner of the screen?\u00a0 Yes? then you&#8217;re in frames.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Printing CATS from MyUVM &#8211; Internet Explorer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Log into MyUVM<\/p>\n<p>Bring up the CATS report<\/p>\n<p>Right click in on the CATs report and select &#8220;Print Preview&#8221; from the pop up menu.<\/p>\n<p>At the top of the Print Preview screen, change &#8220;As laid out on screen&#8221; to &#8220;Only selected frame&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Click the Printer button to print<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Printing CATS from MyUVM &#8211; Firefox<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Log into MyUVM<\/p>\n<p>Bring up the CATS report<\/p>\n<p>Right click in the CATS report area and from the pop up menu select &#8220;This Frame&#8221; and then &#8220;Print Frame&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Set the printer the way you want (e.g. copies, duplex, page range, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>Click Ok<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Printing CATS from MyUVM &#8211; Safari<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Safari is very friendly towards this sort of thing<\/p>\n<p>Log into MyUVM<\/p>\n<p>Bring up the CATS Report<\/p>\n<p>Control click in the report area and select &#8220;Print Frame&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>OR<\/p>\n<p>Select &#8220;Print Largest Frame&#8221; from the File menu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve heard some reports of people having trouble printing CATS reports from MyUVM. \u00a0In a nutshell, the problem is that the\u00a0 report is around 13 pages long but when printed from MyUVM they only get the first page.
