About

Hello!

This blog was created by Carly Morris- a current University of Vermont undergraduate student enrolled in the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources with a major in Environmental Studies (B.S.). The purpose of this blog is to document the phenology of the beloved Centennial Woods located in Burlington, VT. The woods are quite close to UVM’s campus and I will be visiting them often throughout bot the fall and spring semesters to document changes in the landscape for the class NR-01 (Natural History and Human Ecology).

I chose Centennial Woods because it is an easily accessible natural area perfect for recreation and education. I have spent a good deal of time enjoying these woods whether that be through running, hiking or hammocking. Feeling personally connected to them makes me eager to learn more about the socio-ecological systems present.
