Sitting on the small wooden bridge that stretched across the river, the most prominent sound I could hear was the rushing of the river. There were a few birds chirping and the wind rusting through the trees as well and it was all very peaceful. It smelled like fall as it had just rained before my visit and the leaves on the ground were still a bit wet. It was pretty cloudy out but it was warmer than it had been in the past few days and it was nice to get into the woods even if it was just for a little while. Since my previous visit, there was much less vegetation on the trees and if the leaves hadn’t yet fallen off, the majority of them had at least turned colors. There were much fewer fish and water skeeters in the river since the water was beginning to get quite cold. I also noticed that the water level in the river seemed a lot higher. In addition to the increased water level, the water seemed a lot murkier, possibly due to excess sediments in the water which resulted from erosion after the water levels increased.
