Please note that the conference is no longer accepting new applications.<\/em><\/p>\n

The United Kingdom, Canada, and United States rural geography groups each send a group of approximately 15 representatives to the Rural Quadrennial.\u00a0 Each country has its own application and selection process.\u00a0 Please apply to the appropriate country contact as follows.\u00a0 Please note that papers that fit the conference theme “Working Landscapes and Livable Communities” and the sub-themes described on the home page will be given priority.<\/p>\n

Applications are due January 10, 2019.\u00a0 Decisions will be made by early February 2019.\u00a0 Please note the following considerations that will be taken into account in the selection process:<\/p>\n

  1. Papers are well-conceived and relevant to rural geography.<\/li>\n
  2. Our delegation should include scholars whose work is work is well positioned in the rural geography specialty area.<\/li>\n
  3. Following the tradition of the Quadrennial meetings, our delegation should represent rural researchers from across the career spectrum (students to senior academics).<\/li>\n
  4. Additional considerations include:\n
      \n
    1. fit of proposed paper to meeting theme, and<\/li>\n
    2. contributions of the applicant to the Rural Geography Specialty Group and its predecessors.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      3. Authors<\/li>\n
      4. Paper summary (including at least 5 key references) (approximately 250 words + list of references)<\/li>\n

      7. Country<\/li>\n
      8. List degrees, specifying the discipline, starting with the most recent<\/li>\n
      9. List recent positions and those relevant to the event<\/em>. Start with the most recent<\/li>\n
