Blog #6
For this phenology assignment, I decided to walk around the athletic campus at UVM as it was cold and snowing and I did not have the right clothes to explore the woods. I encountered a lot of small tracks on top of snow around trees. Since there was about a foot of snow and I did not have boots I was not able to get super close to the tracks.

I believe that I found Eastern Cottontail (left) and White-Footed Mouse (right) tracks, though I am not completely sure of these IDs. I believe it was an Eastern Cottontail, but it could have been Snowshoe Hare as well. I am pretty confident the picture on the right is a White-Footed Mouse.
