1/23/25 23ºF Clear, Windy

For the new semester, I decided to stick with what I know and return to my previous phenology spot.

I did not notice many significant changes since I last visited my spot in early December. There were more fallen or cut down-trees on the forest floor. All of the leaves that were scattered straggling on dead trees have all fallen. Other than pines, the canopy is now completely cleared. Finally, I heard and observed almost no birds and other life.

Signs of Wildlife

At my spot I observed two different kinds of tracks; the first was dogs and the people walking them, and the second was small hopping tracks which I assume were left by rabbits.
