The types of things I do include appearing in court to advocate for\u00a0the government&#8217;s position, drafting legal documents\u00a0and correspondence, and communicating\u00a0with client agencies\u00a0and opposing counsel to negotiate case resolutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong> How did you get to where you are today and were there any significant experiences that helped shape your career path?<br \/>\n<\/strong>I served as a\u00a0judicial law\u00a0clerk for two different federal judges, and I\u00a0worked for four years at law firm doing commercial litigation before I\u00a0obtained\u00a0my current position.\u00a0 As a judicial law clerk,\u00a0I was able to develop my legal research and writing skills, observe practicing attorneys\u00a0at work, and\u00a0learn\u00a0what motivates judicial decision-making.\u00a0 As an associate at law firm, I got practical\u00a0experience representing clients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you have any advice for undergraduates?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Talk to as many people as you can in the fields that interest you and pay particular attention to people who love their work.
