What Not to Wear: Dressing the Part

If you aren’t seriously looking for a job, wear what you want. Be comfortable.  But if you show up at the job fair or networking event in jeans, open toe shoes, and a t-shirt, don’t be surprised if you never get a call back.

Your clothing and appearance sends a message about you, your work ethic, and your attention to detail. It’s a competitive job market out there, so don’t give employers a reason to weed out your resume.
