Ready for Finals? A Creemee Might Help

It is that time of year again- the lake has thawed, creemee stands are opening, the temperature is warming up…and you are diligently studying for finals. Here are some tips that can help you conquer finals week with your sanity intact and creemee held high:

  • Plan your work, work your plan: This is my mother’s advice when I am faced with a daunting challenge. When it comes to finals, it is imperative to assess what courses and assignments need the most time and energy, in what order projects and exams are due, and to create a course of action and to-do list.
  • Avoid Cramming:  Knowledge is retained better when it is revisited several times over a longer period, versus a marathon of studying the night before an exam. Avoid the temptation to procrastinate; start reviewing your materials now.
  • Sleep & Self Care: It can be easy to get caught up in the hustle of finals week, but make sure that you’re scheduling in ample sleep time – preferably eight solid hours throughout the night. Don’t know how to achieve a restorative sleep during times of stress? Here’s how. Incorporate other ways to take care of yourself into your day: go to the gym, take a walk, watch your favorite movie, get a creemee.
  • Dress for success: Studies have shown that when students dress for success instead of choosing pajamas they actually score higher on exams.

Best of luck with finals this week! We know you will do well.
