Ben Dubin – President

Hello Hello, I’m Ben Dubin and I am honored to serve as this year’s President of the Boulder Society! Originally from Fort Collins, Colorado, I study Biological Science, with minors in Microbiology and Chemistry, and balance a wide host of interests and subjects. I am endlessly curious about pretty much everything under the sun, and beyond; often if someone is excited to share something, I am excited to hear about it! I love space sciences, biology, physics, and chemistry, along with art, music, dance, and community organizing. I am deeply involved on campus as the co-founder of Space Club, a leader in the Outing and Kayak Club, and as a TA and SI leader. Over my four years in Vermont, I have made the most of our wonderful state, recreating in its vast rivers, skiing and hiking down its steep and numerous mountains, and crafting elegant rock stacks on riverbeds through the sun, rain, snow, and everything in between.

Caroline Van Hemel – Historian, junior link

Hi, I’m Caroline (she/her) and I’m the historian and junior link for the Boulder Society class of 2025! I’m originally from Southern Maine and I’m majoring in geography and history, with a minor in gender, sexuality, and women’s studies. I’ve been involved on campus as a TA and research assistant in the geography department, I’m a member of the history honors society Phi Alpha Theta and the GSWS honors society Triota, and I was previously the president of UVM FeelGood for the 2024 calendar year. Outside school, I love baking bread and cookies, exploring campus–with a goal of visiting every single building before I graduate–, a long walk in the woods during fall, a good archive or library, and wandering with a camera.

Elleanor Beaulieu – Recruitment chair

Elleanor Beaulieu is from South Hero, Vermont, and has served as the Recruitment Chair for the Boulder class of 2025. She is majoring in neuroscience and minoring in philosophy, and has been heavily involved with research at UVM. After graduation this spring, she plans to take a few years off school to work before attending graduate school to obtain either an MD or a PhD. In her spare time, she enjoys knitting, and recently adopted her first cat.

Alisson Fernandez Tuiro – Vice president, junior link

My name is Alisson Fernandez Tuiro, and I’m originally from Lima, Peru. I’m a junior majoring in Biomedical Engineering with minors in Mathematics and Computer Science. I’m passionate about interdisciplinary problem-solving and exploring how technology can improve human health and improve healthcare access. At UVM, I serve as the president of the International Student Club, where I work to build community and amplify the voices of international students on campus.

Annabelle Paushter – Secretary

Hello! I’m Annabelle (she/her) and I’m happy be serve as the secretary for our class!

I grew up outside of Boston, in Concord, Massachusetts and now, after a gap year and transferring schools after my freshman year, I’m majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in Park, Recreation, and Tourism (PRT) within the College of Arts and Sciences. I love spending time outdoors and find myself constantly excited and intrigued by the natural world and our surrounding ecosystems. In my free time you can find me on the slopes or hiking trails! I find joy in my involvement on-campus as the co-president of Summit Sisters, for which I’m also a trip leader. I spent 1.5 years serving the Outing Club’s executive board, until this past fall when I decided to step down and stick to leading trips. As my 3rd year living in Burlington comes to an end, I feel grateful to be part of a study body that’s supportive of exploring such new curiosities in and outside the classroom. The Green Mountains and VT’s natural beauty will always have a special place in my heart.

I am excited to continue fostering an inclusive outdoor learning environment after I graduate and move to Boise, Idaho for the summer. There, I’ll be working for the Idaho Conservation Corps.
