{"id":7021,"date":"2013-11-16T16:03:11","date_gmt":"2013-11-16T21:03:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/aivakhiv\/?p=7021"},"modified":"2021-06-10T10:09:46","modified_gmt":"2021-06-10T15:09:46","slug":"mormon-film-ecologies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/aivakhiv\/2013\/11\/16\/mormon-film-ecologies\/","title":{"rendered":"Mormon film ecologies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I did a double-take when a producer from BYU Radio &#8212; Brigham Young University&#8217;s faith-and-values based talk radio station, which broadcasts to millions around the world through Sirius XM satellite radio &#8212; approached me for an interview about <em>Ecologies of the Moving Image. <\/em>I presume the majority of listeners are members of the Church of Latter Day Saints, i.e., Mormons, as is a good portion of the content. (Which got me interested in <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/LDS_cinema\">LDS cinema<\/a>. Go figure.)<\/p>\n<p>The interview was live-broadcast on the station&#8217;s morning show last week.
