Among other things, my own <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iupress.indiana.edu\/catalog\/product_info.php?cPath=1037_4036_4125&amp;products_id=20007\">Claiming Sacred Ground<\/a> is selling at Indiana for $12.<\/p>\n<p>Also of possible interest to readers of this blog, at Indiana, are Jesper Hoffmeyer&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iupress.indiana.edu\/catalog\/product_info.php?cPath=1037_4036_4128&amp;products_id=19803\">Signs of Meaning in the Universe<\/a>, Foltz and Frodeman&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iupress.indiana.edu\/catalog\/product_info.php?cPath=1037_4036_4121&amp;products_id=21733\">Rethinking Nature<\/a>, and bunches of books by Peirce, Heidegger, and a posse of U.S. Continental philosophers (Sallis, Caputo, Lawlor, de Bestegui, et al.), as well as a good selection of cinema studies titles. The deals aren&#8217;t as good this year as they have been in past years, and unfortunately Peirce&#8217;s <em>Essential Writings<\/em> are not on sale this year; but John Sallis&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iupress.indiana.edu\/catalog\/product_info.php?cPath=1037_4036_4121&amp;products_id=40871\">Topographies<\/a> is a good deal.<\/p>\n<p>Among the deals at Oxford are the following (note that the sale prices aren&#8217;t listed on the book pages, but go back to the sale page and you&#8217;ll find them &#8211; 50% or 65% off for all of those below): Hal Restivo&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.us.oup.com\/us\/catalog\/29529\/subject\/CulturalStudies\/65OffCulturalStudies\/?view=usa&amp;ci=9780195141931\">Science, Technology &amp; Society<\/a> encyclopedia, Bill Edelglass&#8217;s and Jay Garfield&#8217;s excellent volume on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.us.oup.com\/us\/catalog\/29529\/subject\/Philosophy\/50OffPhilosophy\/?view=usa&amp;ci=9780195328172\">Buddhist Philosophy,<\/a> Jay Garfield&#8217;s highly regarded translation of Nagarjuna&#8217;s <em>Mulamadhyamakakarika<\/em> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.us.oup.com\/us\/catalog\/29529\/subject\/ReligionTheology\/50OffReligionTheology\/?view=usa&amp;ci=9780195093360\">The Fundamental Wisdom of the Middle Way<\/a>), Roger Gottlieb&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.us.oup.com\/us\/catalog\/29529\/subject\/ReligionTheology\/65OffReligionTheology\/?view=usa&amp;ci=9780195176483\">A Greener Faith<\/a>, and David Orr&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.us.oup.com\/us\/catalog\/29529\/subject\/GeneralScience\/50OffGeneralScience\/?view=usa&amp;sf=toc&amp;ci=9780195173680\">The Nature of Design<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Both Oxford and Indiana university presses are having their annual spring sales.
