{"id":1345,"date":"2010-09-17T16:57:08","date_gmt":"2010-09-17T21:57:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/aivakhiv\/2010\/09\/17\/shooting-it-green\/"},"modified":"2021-06-10T10:06:11","modified_gmt":"2021-06-10T15:06:11","slug":"shooting-it-green","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/aivakhiv\/2010\/09\/17\/shooting-it-green\/","title":{"rendered":"shooting it green"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since I write about film from an ecocritical perspective, I feel obliged to share information about the greening of filmmaking <em>practice<\/em>. <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.worldwatch.org\/transformingcultures\/greenfilmmaking\/\">Transforming Cultures<\/a> has a post about that.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the trailer for Lauren Selman&#8217;s\/<a href=\"http:\/\/www.reelgreenmedia.com\/index.html\">Real Green Media<\/a>&#8216;s <em>Greenlit<\/em>, a film that, like <a href=\"http:\/\/aivakhiv.blog.uvm.edu\/2010\/09\/heres_an_excellent_review_by.html\">No Impact Man<\/a>, appears to fall into the &#8220;it&#8217;s the right thing to do, but aw, shucks, isn&#8217;t it hard?&#8221; genre of eco-documentary. It won&#8217;t get everyone running to the theaters, but it&#8217;s good that someone&#8217;s doing it.
