Expect intermittent blogging over the summer as well, though it will undoubtedly get more active during the proposed <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=kNj_QQAACAAJ&amp;dq=vibrant+matter+a+political+ecology+of+things&amp;ei=aJvTS766Fp-4zASckODgCQ&amp;cd=1\">Vibrant Matter<\/a> reading group, assuming that happens (it&#8217;s elicited interest so far from Peter Gratton at <a href=\"http:\/\/philosophyinatimeoferror.wordpress.com\">Philosophy in a Time of Error<\/a> and Scu at <a href=\"http:\/\/criticalanimal.blogspot.com\/\">Critical Animal<\/a>). Antonio Lopez (<a href=\"http:\/\/mediacology.com\/\">Mediacology<\/a>) and I have also talked about an inter-blog reading group\/discussion of <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=Ver-iHURIjMC&amp;printsec=frontcover&amp;dq=integral+ecology&amp;ei=W53TS7_TBJGgzQTv1L3wCQ&amp;cd=1#v=onepage&amp;q&amp;f=false\">Integral Ecology<\/a>, the massive tome by Sean Esbjorn-Hargens and Michael Zimmerman.<\/p>\n<p>Other things on my reading list in the coming months include a lot of Peircian, Whiteheadian, and Deleuzian material, Tim Ingold&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.routledge.com\/books\/details\/9780415576840\/\">Being Alive<\/a> once that comes out (which someone at Routledge suggested may be sooner than the listed publication date), and a fair bit of cinema\/media theory (such as Casetti&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=1AWwbfbDX6MC&amp;printsec=frontcover&amp;dq=casetti+eye+century&amp;ei=lZ_TS5KAGYjczQSlq4iYCQ&amp;cd=1#v=onepage&amp;q&amp;f=false\">Eye of the Century<\/a>, Rodowick&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Virtual-Life-Film-D-Rodowick\/dp\/0674026683\">Virtual Life of Film<\/a>, Ehrat&#8217;s Peircian <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=bbheF-BzHSwC&amp;printsec=frontcover&amp;dq=ehrat+cinema+semiotic&amp;ei=Z5_TS62kB4TMyQS2gpj9CQ&amp;cd=1#v=onepage&amp;q&amp;f=false\">Cinema and Semiotic<\/a>, and others), partly in preparation for my fall film course and partly related to the project we won&#8217;t mention. Add to that the Ranciere (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Dissensus-Politics-Aesthetics-Jacques-Ranci%C3%A8re\/dp\/1847064450\">Dissensus<\/a>) reading group that&#8217;s starting up here at UVM, and there&#8217;ll barely be any time left over for writing, or for enjoying the summer &#8212; neither of which should be even negotiable.
