It is located along the pathway toward “the back five” sophomore housing. These woods consist of pathways leading towards apartment complexes, but the journey towards the destination is under appreciated. As you walk towards the apartments, you will come across a small stream that runs along the trail. You must cross a small wooded bridge in order to continue along the trail. The overgrowth of the woods consists of mainly Norway Maples, Eastern White Pines, and Hemlocks. I noticed some Sweet Birch and White Ash trees sprinkled in the mix. There are many common animals inhabiting these woods including squirrels, owls, American Crows, Song Sparrows, and Chickadees. I noticed that the ground of the forest is covered with pine needles, along with fallen leaves. These needles indicate that the soil may be more acidic because the acidity from these needles soak into the ground. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/agentry\/files\/2023\/10\/Screen-Shot-2023-10-15-at-3.56.34-PM-1024x700.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10\" style=\"width:628px;height:429px\" width=\"628\" height=\"429\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/agentry\/files\/2023\/10\/Screen-Shot-2023-10-15-at-3.56.34-PM-1024x700.png 1024w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/agentry\/files\/2023\/10\/Screen-Shot-2023-10-15-at-3.56.34-PM-300x205.png 300w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/agentry\/files\/2023\/10\/Screen-Shot-2023-10-15-at-3.56.34-PM-768x525.png 768w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/agentry\/files\/2023\/10\/Screen-Shot-2023-10-15-at-3.56.34-PM-1536x1050.png 1536w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/agentry\/files\/2023\/10\/Screen-Shot-2023-10-15-at-3.56.34-PM-2048x1401.png 2048w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/agentry\/files\/2023\/10\/Screen-Shot-2023-10-15-at-3.56.34-PM-1200x821.png 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Trinity Woods is a well known place for the students at UVM, but it may seem foreign to those who do not live on Trinity Campus.
