They&#8217;re simple, easy and perfect to bring to a Halloween party with UVM friends.<\/p>\n<p><strong>First up, Catamount Crispies.<\/strong> This twist on the traditional rice krispie treat is so easy, you don&#8217;t even need an oven. Check out the video below to see how I whipped these up in the office kitchen with just a microwave.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-vimeo\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/189012788\" width=\"640\" height=\"352\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><strong>Catamount Cripies<br \/>\n<\/strong>I adapted the recipe right off the back of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ricekrispies.com\/en_US\/recipes\/the-original-treats-recipe.html\" target=\"_blank\">box of Rice Krispies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll need:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"ingredients\">\n<li>6 cups Kellogg&#8217;s\u00ae Rice Krispies\u00ae cereal<\/li>\n<li>3 tablespoons butter<\/li>\n<li>1 package (10 oz) of marshmallows or\u00a04 cups miniature marshmallows<\/li>\n<li>Green food dye<\/li>\n<li>Frosting for decorating<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Here&#8217;s how you do it:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Stove top directions:<\/b><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Add 10-15 drops of green food coloring.<\/p>\n<p>2. Add cereal. Stir until well coated.<\/p>\n<p>3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool. Cut into 2-inch squares. Best if served the same day.<\/p>\n<p><b>Microwave Directions:<\/b><br \/>\nIn microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Follow steps 2 and 3 above. In punch bowl or pitcher, mix sherbet, limeade and ginger ale.<\/p>\n<p>2. Pour into glasses. Garnish each glass with candy and lime slices.
