In this phenology post, I could switch up the very fun setting. I took the bus down to Battery Park and was able to find some tracks very quickly. I was able to find a lot of Eastern Gray Squirrel tracks, though semi unfortunately they were the only tracks I was able to find. Using iNaturalist was pretty easy, as I have used it in my phenology posts in the past. Here are screenshots of the observations:






When me and my friend saw these tracks we were deciding between whether it was a bunny or a hare, or something like a squirrel. Eventually, after looking at the handbook and sizes of the print, and the facts the prints were all coming to and from trees, we decided that they are most likely Eastern Gray Squirrel tracks.
