New (Temporary) Spot

Hello and happy spring semester! I really wanted to return to my spot in Centennial Woods from last semester, but unfortunately it is not currently accessible for me. I have a new spot for the time being, but as the semester goes on and I am hopefully able to return to my original spot, I will! This spot isn’t nearly as private and doesn’t have any water features, which is something I loved at my other spot, but it will have to do for now, and is still great!

My new spot at the Redstone Pines!

My spot is right on campus so it is not hard to find at all! Walking on the path from Redstone campus towards the Davis Center Tunnel, it can be found on your left and across from the UVM Interfaith Center.

My new spot is filled with Eastern White Pines. The trees are still filled with needles because the pines can still move water throughout the branches even in these winter conditions.

There were lots of dog and human tracks at my spot, but I also saw these tracks that I couldn’t instantly recognize. I included a picture comparing the tracks to my foot to give an idea of the size. Using the Mammal Tracks Pocket Guide, my best guess would be that the tracks belong to a cottontail rabbit!
