Snow and Animals!

It was so exciting to go to my spot today because it has finally snowed (without raining immediately after). My previous visits blended together, but this visit felt completely different. The snow makes the woods so much quieter, which was nice because it made it easier to hear the water flowing and animals. Most of the vegetation on the ground of my site has lost its leaves, but the trees still had some green because the pines stayed on.

While walking around my spot today, I kept my eyes peeled for any animal footprints. I actually saw a lot of footprints, but I wasn’t sure what everything was, and a lot of them I assume were just dogs. I got the Mammal Tracks and Scat pocket guide, which I used to attempt to identify the tracks.

Possibly mink tracks (this was in a different part of Centennial Woods, not my site).
