My Phenology blog about Centennial woods

Welcome to Dominic Tracy’s 2022-23 NR1 Phenology blog.

I chose to make my phenology spot in Centennial woods because it was an area I discovered earlier in the year due to another assignment in NR 1. In order to get to my location in Centennial you would follow the main trial over the long bridge and once you reach the trailhead where left takes you down to the water and right goes up the hill you go left. A low area, the shores of a small but steadily flowing rocky stream. In this place you can find many downed trees intermingled with the living ones. Multiple species can be found here but some of the most common ones are eastern hemlock, american beech, and ferns covering the floor.
