Women’s Leadership in Food Systems Change

Around the world—from Vermont to Mali—women are leading efforts to find and implement positive solutions to complex challenges related to food security and agriculture.

WAgN is partnering with Oxfam America to raise awareness about these issues and to celebrate the courageous role of women in making food system change. These solutions include support for sustainable agriculture, women’s empowerment, and social and economic justice.

To raise awareness about these efforts, Oxfam America is hosting a Hunger Banquet® in Burlington on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Main Street Landing in Burlington.  The event is free and open to the public.
