About

Reza Filizadeh is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Vermont (UVM). He graduated with a Master’s in Structural Engineering in 2015 from Sharif University of Technology, Iran. He also received his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2013. During his Master’s, he worked on a research project focused on developing the Endurance Time (ET) method for assessing the life cycle cost of bridges under seismic hazards. Also, he implemented an optimization code in MATLAB to perform value-based seismic design of bridges.
