Pablo Bose – Geography

Pablo Bose, Associate Professor, Geography Department, College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Vermont

Latest Project: Researching refugee resettlement in the United States, focusing on where they are going and their experiences adjusting to a new location or environment. Pablo Bose conducted over 300 interviews, along with polling, qualitative surveys, and participant observation. He also utilized a technique called Photovoice, in which participants in community groups provide photos and annotations to relate their experiences.

“When I want to answer the question of why people are going there, that’s really looking at what key informants have to say, why do you think they’re going there, or why did you make that decision, so qualitative research in that sense really allows me to explore those questions further.”
